A Chic Black & White Wedding for Jordan & Zach at The Wildflower 301
Zach and Jordan met in 2020 through mutual friends, and it’s no surprise that their meeting led to a wedding day. The two both grew up in Ohio, and Zach’s family escaped every summer to their grandparents’ lakehouse in Lake Oconee, Georgia. It was the perfect place to escape the Midwest and relax by the lake. In the same year they met, Zach asked Jordan if she wanted to join in on the family tradition and attend the annual summer trip. From that trip on, Jordan never missed the trip, and it became their home away from home. The two vacationed there every summer, making memories, boating, and soaking up the sun.
Zach knew there was no better place than the dock at the end of their lakehouse to propose to Jordan. So, on May 31st, 2023, he took Jordan to one of their favorite restaurants for another normal date night. When they returned to the lake house around sunset, Jordan noticed the dock was decorated with candles, rose petals, a bottle of champagne, and a sign that read “forever and always.” At their favorite place, Zach asked Jordan to be his forever.
Their love for this summer vacation spot made them want to marry in their second home state, Georgia. After searching for venues on the lake in Lake Oconee and not finding anything they loved, Zach and Jordan broadened their search and found The Wildflower 301. As soon as they saw the Greensboro venue for the first time, they knew it would be the place where they would marry.
From the gorgeous gardens to the beautiful English-style mansion, Jordan and Zach utilized all of The Wildflower 301’s dreamy elements in their day. When dreaming up their celebration, the bride and groom imagined classy and chic elements that would remain timeless. Thus, they established a black-and-white color palette, letting the venue’s detailed architecture and lush gardens add vibrancy to the day.
From the ceremony’s vows to the reception’s toasts, happy tears were a recurring theme throughout the day. The couple and their rich love story had everyone reveling in their wedded bliss. Add in details like the groom and groomsmen’s “Game Day” entrances and the glowing foam batons on the dancefloor, and you have a wedding day that was full of joyful and sentimental moments alike.
