Kiran & Danish’s Two-Day Modern Pakistani Wedding at Lilly Creek Farm
Two days of constant texting and one six-hour marathon phone call was all it took for Kiran and Danish to realize they had found the real deal. But turning that spark into a life together meant navigating two years of long-distance love between Dallas and Atlanta — a stretch of miles they both agree was well worth the wait.
Danish is a professional wedding photographer and owner of Chromalogue Studios, which brought a unique twist to the planning process. Having documented hundreds of celebrations, he brought an insider’s eye to the drafting table. The main objective was tackling a major logistical puzzle: how to condense a full week of rich Pakistani traditions into a crisp, two-day weekend that reflected both their cultural roots and American upbringing.
Enter Lilly Creek Farms. The family-owned venue offered the versatility and blank-canvas freedom the couple needed to host multiple distinct events across one property without relying on rigid packages. Working intimately with the team, Kiran and Danish transformed the farm’s indoor and outdoor spaces to match the shifting mood of each ceremony.
Day One: Mehendi, Haldi & Sangeet
The weekend opened on the venue’s open-air pavilion for the Mehendi and Haldi ceremonies, where bold shades of pink, orange, and yellow set a vibrant stage for close family to cover the couple in blessings and well-wishes.
As day turned to night, the mood shifted into high gear for the Sangeet. Transitioning indoors, the atmosphere transformed into a lush nighttime palette of deep navy, sparkling accents and white florals, setting the backdrop for family members to take the floor in a marathon of choreographed dance performances.
Day Two: Nikkah & Reception
The second day shifted to a softer, dreamier tone for the formal Nikkah ceremony. Welcoming their guests back, the decor signaled a shift into something sweeter and sentimental. Lining the path to the ceremony space was a trail of life-sized banners of the couple’s engagement photos. To honor the miles that brought them together, they also showcased a framed display made from years of saved boarding passes and luggage tags from their Dallas-to-Atlanta flights.
Beneath a waterfront pavilion, Kiran and Danish officially wed following Ismaili traditions. Kiran wore a creamy Riantas saree from Panache by Sharmeen while Danish looked sharp in a khaki double-breasted Suitsupply suit. Seated facing the venue’s pond, the couple, their witnesses and officiant signed the Nikahnama, the sacred Islamic marriage contract.
The celebration concluded with a lively evening reception, where the couple swapped into their final looks, Kiran in a peachy Seema Gujral gown and Danish in a black embellished Dhulfaqar sherwani. Between heartfelt toasts, a romantic first dance and a live mini-pancake station for late-night snacking, every detail was thoughtful. As the final song ended, guests gathered under the stars for a dazzling fireworks show, capping off a weekend years in the making.
