Olivia & Michael Penix Jr.’s Full Weekend Wedding at Château Élan
For Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr., life off the field is where the most important plays are made. In the spring, he and Olivia made the biggest one yet: a wedding designed as much for the people they love as for themselves. Their story began in Seattle, where an accidental Instagram like set something in motion neither saw coming. Michael was playing football at the University of Washington; Olivia had just earned her biology degree. That small digital interaction grew into a relationship grounded in shared faith and a deep respect for what commitment means.
For their wedding, the couple chose Château Élan, drawn to its ability to hold an entire weekend within one elegant setting. With guests traveling from across the country, Olivia and Michael wanted more than a single evening, but rather a full weekend of events built around connection.
The couple originally dreamed of an outdoor garden ceremony, but knowing how unpredictable spring weather can be, they brought their vision indoors. Within Château Élan’s Glasstop Atrium, the space was fully draped for intimacy, while lush greenery, cascading florals and statement arches carried the garden vision indoors. The aesthetic was all white and transcendent of time or era. That is until the reception, where black accents and a bold Atlanta Falcons red welcome display signaled the shift from sacred to celebratory.
The children of high school and college sweethearts, Olivia and Michael had lifelong front-row seats to what true love looks like. That inheritance shaped how seriously they approached their vows, and how joyfully they’re stepping into this next chapter hand in hand, now sharing the same last name.
