Turquoise Coastal-Inspired Wedding at Atlantic Beach Country Club in Atlantic Beach, FL
In true coastal Florida fashion, the chance of rain for the wedding day was 100%. But some couples just get really lucky – Megan and Matthew were just that. The April sunshine beamed bright and the sky remained clear above the church where Megan had grown up and would now celebrate her nuptials. Encircled by friends and family, with Matthew looking on, Megan walked the aisle in a beaded Essence of Australia lace gown with a sweetheart neckline purchased from Love Bridal Boutique. Her bridesmaids wore floor-length Jenny Yoo ‘Annabelle’ dresses of various shades of blue and gray and carried asymmetrical, whimsical bouquets of Juliet garden roses, parrot tulips, astilbe, ranunculus, and greenery arranged by Liz Stewart Floral Design. After exchanging vows, the newlyweds and their guests made their way to Northeast Florida wedding venue Atlantic Beach Country Club for a cocktail hour and reception, designed and planned by Dairing Events, a Jacksonville wedding planning and event design company. The reception had a casual coastal atmosphere and was riddled with details from the couple’s life together – a beer flight of brews from the places they’ve lived accompanied by a chalkboard with a story of each selected beverage, a direction sign of the cities their guests were from and the distances they traveled, and novelty sunglasses with the wedding hashtag. After a seated dinner catered by the venue, guests enjoyed a dessert bar of macaroons, cake pops, cream puffs, and chocolate covered bacon surrounding a two-tiered floral-adorned ombre cake designed by Alleycakes Dessert Company. The party then relocated to a tented outdoor space to finish out the evening with dancing and celebration. The husband and wife duo behind Brooke Images, a Jacksonville-based wedding photography business, captured the newlyweds’ special day on camera, while CollabCreation Films, a Jacksonville-based videographer CollabCreation Films created a reel for the couple to watch for years to come.
