Jenna & David’s Metallic Spring Wedding

Jenna & David
April 14, 2018
Atlanta, GA

Sparks flew during a chance meeting at a Cincinnati bar in 2014. Just over two years later, before meeting Jenna’s family for dinner, David popped the question on the Detroit Riverwalk as a violinist played one of their favorite songs. The newly-engaged couple began planning a wedding full of personal touches in Atlanta, where David’s family resided.

Jenna and David were married by one of their best friends in the beautiful, industrial setting of Summerour Studio. Garlands of greenery wound around the railings of a dark wooden staircase and glowing candles lined its steps. Groomsmen looked sharp in modern gray suits and metallic bowties to match bridesmaids that dazzled in mismatched metallic dresses. Jenna carried a bouquet of white roses and seeded eucalyptus as she walked down the aisle in a sleek Pronovias gown.

After the “I Do’s,” guests were welcomed into a beautiful urban garden-inspired reception. Towering centerpieces and pink linen napkins perfectly complemented the industrial indoor space, while the vine-covered brick walls of the venue’s Tuscan-inspired courtyard created a cozy place for guests to mingle outside. Bold American Events served a delicious dinner with southern flare. Intimate Eats provided brownies, cookies, mini pies and cheesecakes as cake-alternatives for dessert, along with a traditional single-tiered cake to for the couple to cut. Jenna and David shared their first dance in front of friends and family as live artist Joy Varnell captured the moment. At the end of the night, the couple made their exit through a sea of waving ribbon wands, ready to begin the next chapter in their lives.

“We were looking for a venue with a rustic feel with green elements. Summerour Studio’s Tuscan-inspired courtyard with its industrial main space brought our vision to life and created the perfect urban garden.” -Jenna

“Our wedding was personalized and showed our style. From the mismatched bridesmaids metallic dresses to the custom dessert bar we were hands on with every detail. One of our best friends officiated our wedding—many guests complimented us/her on how personal the ceremony was and were shocked to find out she is not actually a pastor and this was her first time officiating a wedding!” -Jenna

“Dessert was our favorite part—Intimate Eats nailed our dessert bar. Neither of us are big cake-lovers, so we had an assortment of brownies, cookies, mini pies and cheesecakes in addition to a traditional single-tier cake for cutting. The display was just as decadent as the desserts!” -Jenna

“We had an amazing live wedding painter who captured our first dance on her canvas at our reception in real time to create a fun activity for guests to watch throughout the night and a memory that we now have displayed in our living room.” -Jenna
