While Hollywood’s biggest night, the Oscars, is all about captivating performances on the silver screen, the stars’ fashion statements undeniably take center stage. Last year, we saw a lot of overtly wedding-inspired looks, but this year’s 96th Academy Awards ceremony gave more subtle nods to the aisle. As stars graced the Oscars red carpet and then the ever-fashion-forward Vanity Fair Oscar Party, we couldn’t help but take note of some styles that gave ultra wedding vibes.

We’d recommend a skin-tone lining for the aisle, but otherwise, this look is simply stunning.

Social Media content creator Ashley Yi wore perhaps the most overtly bridal look of the night. Designed by Saudi Arabian label Waad Aloqaili, her dress featured a high boat neck, embellished hem and a dramatic ruffle-trim train. From the train draped as a shawl to the dramatic jewelry by Norman Silverman and David Yurman, there’s not a single detail we’d change here.

Sterling K. Brown in Dior Men

Best Supporting Actor nominee for “American Fiction” Sterling K. Brown looked as handsome as ever in Kim Jones’ Dior Men. The custom Dior Oblique navy and black shawl collar tuxedo added a touch of personality with the satin shawl drape detail. Add in the vintage 1919 Boucheron brooch and an IWC Schaffhausen timepiece, and you’ve got a dapper look.

Scott Evans in AMIRI

Who says you can’t pair a dramatic train with a suit? Access Hollywood host Scott Evans took suiting to a new level with this periwinkle jacket and silky train. As if the train blouse wasn’t stylish enough, we love the white trousers and boots – such a statement!

Greta Gerwig in YSL

Le Smoking—an iconic women’s suit created in 1966 by Yves Saint Laurent—never goes out of style. “Barbie” director and nominee for Best Adapted Screenplay Greta Gerwig exchanged her sparkling ceremony dress for a masculine-inspired suit at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. This quintessential YSL ensemble was completed with sparkling jewelry by Boucheron.

On the red carpet, celebrities have long sought ways to jazz up the classic tuxedo. Give us a groom in a cream tuxedo any day and we will be happy! John Krasinski, actor and husband to Best Supporting Actress nominee Emily Blunt, wore a creme Brioni tuxedo with a statement Tiffany & Co broach. We are all for broaches becoming the new boutonniere!

Celine Song In Loewe

Celine Song, director of “Past Lives” and Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay nominee, wore an incredible LOEWE ensemble to the awards show. The navy and black double-breasted tuxedo jacket was paired with a layered skirt and made complete with chunky penny loafers. We love how this look could translate onto marriers of any gender, providing equal parts traditional apparel and modern edge.

The Reception Look

Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton

Best Actress winner Emma Stone hit the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in Louis Vuitton. Reflective mirror embellishments are just begging to become their own disco ball on the reception dance floor! Take into account the loose fit and sultry leg slit, and you’ve got a recipe for after-party merriment.

Lupita Nyong’o in Armani Privé

On the 10th anniversary of her monumental Oscar win, Lupita Nyong’o paid homage to herself with this pastel Armani Privé look. We’ve been loving metallic party looks for reception outfit changes, and “Mean Girls” actor Lindsay Lohan hit the mark with this rendition.
