City Romance Meets Latin Elegance for Melisa & Michael at Summerour Studio
The Setting
When Melisa and Michael planned their wedding, they knew they wanted to blend old world romance with the modern energy of Atlanta. They found both at Summerour Studio, a venue tucked away in the city that pairs rustic Tuscan archways and ivy-covered brick with views of downtown.
The Candlelit Ceremony
Rather than a traditional altar setup, Melisa and Michael chose the venue’s main industrial staircase for their vows. The Weddings by Epic floral team lined the steps with lush greenery and packed the surrounding floor space with dozens of glowing pillar candles.
As the couple exchanged vows on the steps, the warm candlelight bounced off the industrial brick walls, giving an expansive venue the quiet, dramatic feel of a private estate.
From Vows to Disco Balls
Though the day started quietly with a quiet first look among the vines, the mood inside shifted once the sun set and the reception began. If the ceremony was designed for intimacy, the reception was built on energy.
Hung directly over the dance floor was a massive, custom disco ball installation that scattered light across the room the second the house lights dimmed. Live band Latin Ambition kicked off the evening with high-energy salsa and Latin hits, keeping the dance floor overflowing from the first set to the final song.
Between the candlelit decor and the hospitality-centered planning, the night balanced old-world romance with a true Atlanta party better than the couple could have even imagined.
