Natalie & Nic’s Citrus-Kissed Capital City Club Wedding
Layered with a bright summer palette and rich family tradition, Natalie and Nic’s wedding day was a celebration of faith, legacy and joy. Set against the classic Atlanta country club, Capital City Club, their day was absolutely rooted in meaning while still leaving room for lighthearted moments and playful details.
The couple exchanged vows in a traditional Catholic ceremony at the Cathedral of Christ the King, a setting already part of Natalie’s family history. Just one year earlier, her sister had walked down the same aisle, making the ceremony feel especially full-circle before guests made their way to the Capital City Club to celebrate.
Natalie and Nic were thoughtful in every choice, beginning with their wedding date. They intentionally selected July 12 to honor the Feast Day of Saints Louis and Zélie Martin, the first married couple in the Catholic Church to be canonized together. Married on July 12, 1858, Saints Louis and Zélie are remembered for the sanctity of their marriage and family life — values that resonated with Natalie and Nic as they entered this next chapter.
Natalie’s choice to wear an heirloom veil that had been passed down through generations of women in her family was one of the chicest details of the day. This special piece has a rich history, with the lace dating back to the 1700s when Natalie’s great-great-grandmother first wore some of the lace on her wedding dress. Over the years, the lace was repurposed into a cathedral-length veil that has been worn by multiple family members, including Natalie’s sister and mother. During the first portion of the day, Natalie wore a lace bolero that her sister also wore for her wedding, later removing the bolero for a sleek second look. Finished with vintage and heirloom jewelry, her ensemble was a beautiful blend of history and modern elegance.
While Natalie carried a classic all-white bouquet, the reception florals brought a cheerful burst of color to the Capital City Club’s light-filled ballroom. Pink and orange blooms were paired with fresh citrus accents, infusing the space with a playful summer energy while complementing the venue’s crisp white surroundings. Guests were welcomed with Aperol Spritzes upon arrival, immediately setting the tone for a citrus-kissed celebration.
From their reverent Catholic ceremony to personal touches like an Auburn University–inspired groom’s cookie cake, Natalie and Nic’s wedding was filled with moments that felt unmistakably them.
