Some first dates last 30 minutes. Josefine and Edward’s lasted two and a half hours — and neither wanted it to end. That “quick coffee” was just the beginning of a love story that would culminate in a spectacular celebration at The Tate House, complete with 1920s glamour, cascading white blooms and one unforgettable surprise.
After that first coffee, Josefine and Edward’s connection was instant, effortless. “Edward grew up in a close-knit Catholic family that emphasized discipline and drive, while my upbringing was shaped by resilience and faith,” Josefine shared. “Those shared foundations brought a deep sense of understanding and gratitude into our relationship.”
When it came time to plan their wedding, the couple chose The Tate House in North Georgia, drawn to its historic charm and exquisite craftsmanship. As devoted fans of 1920s aesthetics, they found their perfect match, describing the venue by remarking, “It felt like stepping into another era while still being perfectly modern.”
For Josefine, one of the wedding journey’s highlights was creating her custom gown with TTON Couture. Over eight months, bride and designer collaborated to bring her vision to life — from initial sketches and fabric selection to delicate fittings and hand-sewn details. “Every step felt like watching a dream dress take shape, layer by layer, until it became the perfect reflection of the day we had dreamed of,” she said.
But perhaps the most memorable moment wasn’t the mauve blooms or the glimmer of chandeliers, but something bigger. During toasts, Josefine and Edward shared news that brought the celebration to a whole new level: They weren’t just starting their married life — they were expecting a baby, too.
With sonogram strip in hand, the couple had not one but two new chapters to toast. Now that’s a happily ever after.
