A Mountain-Top Gift: Allison & Erik’s Wedding at Meadows at Mossy Creek
Every love story has its rhythm, and for Allison and Erik, it was music that brought them together. Their shared passion for music became the foundation of a relationship shaped by faith and an appreciation for each other’s cultures. When it came time to say “I do,” a generous group of Georgia wedding professionals stepped in to help make their dream day a reality.
Allison and Erik were fortunate enough to celebrate their day bigger than they’d ever imagined, thanks to Event Pod, a networking community of more than 3,000 Georgia-based wedding and event pros. Each year, a team of vendors come together to gift one deserving couple a full wedding, completely free of charge. From flowers to photography, every detail is donated. “I believe in blessing others if I can,” says Event Pod founder Ashley Charron. “When it’s the right season and the right couple, I know it’s something we’re meant to do.”
Allison and Erik’s celebration took place at The Meadows at Mossy Creek, perched atop North Georgia’s beautiful mountainscape. The couple’s ceremony took place beneath a sweeping floral arch by Flux Floral Design, surrounded by 300 guests dressed in classic black. Overlooking the same mountain range where they had spent many afternoons hiking and talking about their future, Allison and Erik exchanged vows in a heartfelt and faith-driven ceremony.
The reception continued inside Meadows at Mossy Creek’s modern-rustic venue, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the mountain views. One highlight came when the couple took the floor for a choreographed salsa, a nod to Erik’s Mexican heritage. And the party certainly didn’t stop there, as guests also enjoyed live painting by Lindsey Ridgeway Art and music from DJ Chris Fuller, who kept the energy going late into the night.
For Allison and Erik, this day was a testament to faith, generosity and people coming together in love’s name. Now, as they begin married life (with their new puppy in tow), they carry the memories of a day made possible by kindness and collaboration.
