Stacy & Marcus’ Igbo-American Wedding at The Westside Warehouse
In hues of sienna orange, toffee brown and emerald green, Stacy and Marcus’s wedding at The Westside Warehouse was a vibrant blend of Igbo and American traditions.
The couple set the tone for their luxurious celebration long before the wedding day, with a custom stationery suite by Paper&More Creations. Guests received acrylic invitations nestled in double velvet pockets and enclosed in copper-lined envelopes featuring Stacy and Marcus’s custom logo — a beautiful preview of the elegance to come.
Fashion was a defining feature of the day. Stacy walked down the aisle in a customized gown from Kleinfeld Bridal, paired with Jimmy Choo heels and Maria Elena accessories. For the reception, she changed into two additional custom dresses and donned traditional Nigerian coral beads. Marcus and the wedding party also embraced Igbo culture by changing into Nigerian attire for the reception. To ensure guests could share in these Nigerian accents, Stacy and Marcus gifted everyone traditional fans — a thoughtful token ensuring everyone could take a piece of Nigeria home.
As the guests settled in for dinner, they were treated to a feast of Nigerian delicacies, including jollof rice, plantains and meat pies — a delicious way to incorporate the couple’s heritage into the day. A live band welcomed guests to the reception, and the newlyweds wowed everyone with a first dance choreographed by Fabian and Jackie Sanchez of “Dancing with the Stars” fame.
After a night of dancing, laughter and heartfelt memories, Stacy and Marcus bid farewell in a Rolls-Royce Ghost — perfectly capping off a luxurious day filled with culture and celebration.
