Nasim & Tony’s Persian/Peruvian Fusion Wedding at Summerour Studio
Nasim and Tony both worked at the Georgia Tech Alumni Association, but their love story didn’t truly begin until Tony moved to Denver. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, after all! Once they were living across the country, they began talking more and realized how much they had in common. For their first date, they met up in Chicago—a convenient midpoint between Atlanta and Denver. Right away, they knew they had something special. Now living in New York, they chose Atlanta for their wedding, the city where their journey first began.
Family and culture are central to Nasim and Tony’s lives, and they ensured this was reflected on their wedding day. Nasim’s Iranian background and Tony’s Polish and Peruvian roots shaped their celebration, blending a traditional Persian wedding ceremony, known as the Sofreh Aghd, with lively Peruvian music and dancing, creating a truly multicultural affair.
For their venue, Nasim and Tony chose Summerour Studio in Atlanta for its warm, inviting atmosphere. “The beautiful landscape and essence of the area felt as if you were transported to another country,” Nasim explained. The venue’s spacious layout provided a stunning backdrop with room for both families, ensuring a day brimming with love.
Fusing Persian and Peruvian traditions made for a unique experience for all who attended. Both the elegant Persian knife dance and the vibrant rhythms of Peruvian performers kept guests entertained, ensuring the dance floor stayed packed all night long. While the day honored their cultural backgrounds, Nasim and Tony also added personal touches that reflected their present-day life in New York. Heart-shaped pizzas were served as a tasty late-night snack, infusing a playful nod to their love of the city.
The romantic, candlelit ambiance filled every moment of Nasim and Tony’s wedding with emotion and sweet memories. From the rose petal toss to the heartfelt toasts, the evening was a perfect reflection of the deep love and connection they share with each other and their families.
