Natana & Emeka’s Fall Piedmont Park Micro-Wedding
Natana and Emeka’s micro-wedding was an intimate celebration that beautifully combined elegance and sweet moments. From a charming first look at the historic Candler Hotel to a heartfelt ceremony at Piedmont Park, their special day perfectly reflected their love story.
Natana and Emeka met on Bumble while living in that Pacific Northwest (PNW). Natana was immediately captivated by Emeka’s Nigerian accent and beautiful smile. Their shared experiences growing up outside of America (Emeka in Nigeria and Natana in Trinidad and Tobago) deepened their bond.
While Emeka originally planned a grand proposal at a rooftop restaurant, an unexpected ice storm forced a change of plans. “Emeka proposed on December 23, 2022, in our living room,” Natana recalled. “I was ugly crying in a bonnet, some sweats, and a t-shirt – my nails were done, though!” Despite the plan change, the intimate proposal was perfect for the couple. Shortly after their engagement, Natana and Emeka moved to Atlanta to be closer to family and for Emeka’s new job at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. They enjoy exploring everything Atlanta offers, from coffee shops and restaurants to charming neighborhoods.
Natana and Emeka originally wanted a courthouse wedding but ultimately decided it would be nice to have their immediate family witness their union. “Neither of us wanted a large wedding – it’s just not our style.” While they wanted to keep the celebrations intimate, the couple still had a dream wedding day in mind.
Natana and Emeka chose to get ready at the Candler Hotel and have their first look at the hotel’s iconic stairs. Before heading to their ceremony location at Piedmont Park, the couple and photographer Crystal Anne Photo took lovely documentary-style photos in front of the hotel.
For their ceremony, the couple exchanged vows in the Gazebo at Piedmont Park against a picturesque fall background. Following the heartfelt ceremony, the celebration continued with an intimate dinner at the Americano in Buckhead. The restaurant’s warm ambiance and exceptional cuisine made it the perfect place for Natana and Emeka to toast their new beginning. Conveniently, the restaurant is part of the InterContinental Buckhead hotel, where the couple decided to spend their first night as husband and wife, savoring the joy of their union.
