The Stars Align for Brooke and Christian at Summerour Studio
The stars aligned on Friday, March 23, when Brooke and Christian hosted a moody yet vibrant celestial-themed wedding at Summerour Studio.
Brooke and Christian’s romance began as teenagers, with a friendship that blossomed mostly online. They are truly each other’s best friends and have always been true to who they are, especially when it came to their unique wedding style. Their wedding celebrated everything they are, everything they love, and everyone who could be there to witness their cosmic love story.
The Tuscan-style Summerour Studio was the ideal setting for their moody, cosmos-inspired wedding. After touring several venues around Atlanta, Brooke and Christian fell in love with Summerour’s courtyard, indoor reception space, and central city location.
For the wedding design, they enlisted Megan Corbat Design to bring their vision to life. Brooke and Christian were very involved in the design and planning of their wedding. They knew a lot about what they wanted (and didn’t want) and worked hand-in-hand with Megan Corbat to dream up the perfect vision. Together, they prioritized rich jewel tones, complementary softer hues, and an abundance of textures and lighting moments inspired by the transition from day to night.
The couple said their vows in the venue’s picturesque courtyard. Completing the dreamy, celestial scene, behind them stood a custom wood crescent moon by Gallo Welding, surrounded by a lush flower meadow. At dusk, Brooke and Christian’scelebration transitioned into a starlit reception, resembling a spring fairytale. Inside, Summerour’s grand staircase was lusciously adorned with pops of color, texture and dramatic amaranth strands. Glimmering lanterns provided a perfect glow, guiding guests from the cocktail hour to the reception space for dinner and dancing. Hundreds of candles atop the tables illuminated the space, highlighting the antique vessels, geodes, abundant ikebana florals, and fruitscapes. For a personal touch, the groom cross-stitched all the guest table number signs.
As the couple and guests danced under paper lantern stars, it was clear this was a wedding like no other. From the edible glitter in their cocktails to the handmade jewelry by the groom, Brooke and Christian’s wedding was stunningly personalized and perfectly executed.
