Wei & Nick’s Earthy Summerour Studio Celebration
Coming from different backgrounds, Wei and Nick’s paths converged through an unexpected yet unifying force: Chick-fil-A. Nick, hailing from the suburbs of Chicago and a graduate of Wheaton College, began working at the local Chick-fil-A in Aurora, IL, before moving to Atlanta, GA, in 2019. Wei, on the other hand, immigrated to the United States in 2006, settling with her family in Kentucky before making Atlanta her home in 2020. Their shared employment at Chick-fil-A provided the backdrop for their initial encounter, with their first conversations unfolding over nuggets and lemonade.
Despite their diverse backgrounds, Wei and Nick discovered common ground in their faith, the importance of family and friends and their mutual love for Chick-fil-A. These shared values became the cornerstone of their relationship, and they sought to weave them into their wedding celebration. Thus, for their special day, they prioritized three things: good food, great music, and an adults-only affair, allowing their loved ones to fully immerse themselves in the joyous occasion.
The idyllic setting of Summerour Studio provided the perfect backdrop for their authentic celebration. “I fell in love with the space and could picture my wedding the moment we toured the venue,” shared the bride. The venue’s enchanting courtyard, ivy-covered walls, natural wooden floors and lofty ceilings exuded an intimate and romantic ambiance that transcended the confines of Atlanta.
With Summerour’s innate charm, the couple opted for minimalistic decorations, allowing the venue’s natural beauty to shine through. Embracing simplicity and elegance, Wei and Nick envisioned an earth-toned wedding aesthetic. Bridesmaids adorned in dark sage complemented groomsmen outfitted in tan Indochino suits, while Nick himself sported a custom rust suit from Studio Suits.
Reflecting on her wedding planning experience, Wei offered sage advice: “Invest time and resources in finding the right professionals for your special day. It alleviates a significant amount of stress from an already bustling day. Trust in your vendors, from hair and makeup artists to photographers, to bring your vision to life and capture the precious moments.”
