Stylish & Colorful Outdoor Wedding at Cator Wolford Gardens in Atlanta, GA
Tucked away in the metropolis is a veritable Eden called Cator Woolford Gardens, a garden wedding venue in downtown Atlanta, GA. After much deliberation and viewing dozens of venues all over the Southeast, Kristen and Jon-Michael decided that this untamed secret oasis would be the perfect host for their June nuptials. Under a cover of lush trees and in front of hanging larkspur, the couple exchanged ‘I dos.’ Kristen, the talented artist behind Kris10 Smith Custom Design, wore a Gatsby-esque beaded gown by Jenny Packham, purchased at Kelly’s Closet in Atlanta. Her attendants dressed in varying styles of sequined and beaded blush and champagne, many of which were designed by Adrianna Papell, all holding overflowing bouquets of trailing eucalyptus, Juliet garden roses, coral charm peonies, anemones, and waxflower designed by Waiting on Wildflowers. In between ceremony and reception, the party was treated to a cocktail hour of lawn games and signature cocktails inspired by the couples three cats – Penelope, Desmond, and Max. After a relocation to the reception and a delectably Southern buffet created by Bold American Events, Kristen and Jon-Michael swayed to their first dance as husband and wife and opened up a to-die-for dessert bar provided by close friends and featuring a peach ginger filled cardamom sponge cake. As the festivities drew to a close, Meghan C Bishop Wedding Planning surprised the newlyweds with Hawaiian leis before they made their exit under a cascade of bubbles. Augusta-based wedding photographer Lauren Carnes Photography captured every personalized detail while Cre8tive Cinema created a reel of each special moment of the couples’ dream wedding day.
