Romantic & Modern Garden Wedding at Summerour Studio in Atlanta, GA
Weddings are meant to be about the couple – a celebration of their love and who they are as people. If this is indeed the goal, then Sarah and Ted’s October wedding was nothing short of a bullseye. The fall celebration was elegant and fun and utterly romantic, a charming and whimsical fete that could have been plucked from the pages of a book of fairytales (courtesy of Atlanta-based wedding planner Lila Wilson Weddings!). Sarah and Ted wanted their ceremony to be intimate, so they gathered in the courtyard of Summerour with a few friends and family to exchange their vows in front of an ivy-enveloped wall. Four bridesmaids stood in complementary shades of grey, styles of their own choosing while the groomsmen wore grey suits by The Modern Gent with season-appropriate wool ties. The bride flitted down the aisle in cap sleeve lace, clutching a bouquet of lush, draping greenery and white blooms arranged by Bloomin’ Bouquets. Theses florals abounded all the way through to the reception where the florist had designed a jaw-dropping hanging arrangement festooned with figs to canopy the bar area. The charm of the reception was enriched by paper details throughout created by the bride herself – who just happens to be the genius stationer behind Atlanta-based wedding stationery company, Foglio Press. With the hors d’oeuvres of the cocktail hour and the stationed dinner of the reception, the couple wanted their predominantly Northern family to experience the joys of Southern cooking, so they recruited Bold American to provide the flavors of an Atlanta fall. After cutting into their metallic-accented cake by For Goodness Cakes, the couple provided mini cake bites in lieu of traditional cake slices, so guests could enjoy a variety of flavors from Amelie’s French Bakery. The evening completed, the newlyweds made their exit under a blanket of sparklers. Nashville-based wedding photographer Sowing Clover Photography captured every blissful moment of the couples’ day.
