Dreaming of a White Wedding? Check out These 5 Winter Inspirations.
As we head into the winter months, we can’t help but picture snow softly falling down, as a bride and groom kiss under twinkly lights. Or crimson and green floral pieces for the perfect Christmas ceremony. Or an extravagant display of silver and gold decorations at a glamorous winter wonderland reception.
There are so many ways to incorporate this frosty season, but we’ve rounded up six of our favorite weddings. Visit their galleries for more winter wedding inspiration and start planning your own snowy ceremony today!
Sophisticated Winter Wedding Inspiration
According to wedding planner Bethany Bradford (Winey Blonde Events Co.), “The beautiful white winter months that lead into spring guided our inspiration. We chose the colors of winter for the theme and added a touch of gold for sophistication. One of our favorite components was the rich jewel tones in the flowers paired with subtle shades of blue table settings. It added such life to the overall feel.”
A little contrast goes a long way! We especially love the bold kisses of red flowers among the sea of greenery for their table runners.
Magical Winter Wedding Inspiration
This wedding styled shoot took white flowers of every kind and wove them together so effortlessly; the floral arch was a work of art in itself!
Planner Denise Bonds (Windermere Elegant Weddings & Events) commented, “In the movies, everyone seems to get married in June or September, but a winter wedding theme in this photoshoot style shows that a winter wedding can be incredibly glamorous, cinematic and magical.”
Kasandra & JB’s Snowy Winter Wedding
Remember what we said about how snow softly falling down makes for the perfect wedding backdrop? This wedding experienced exactly that for their Michigan destination wedding.
According to their photographer (Stephanie Parshall Photography), “The couple chose to stand their ground and enjoyed the 14-inch snowfall they got on their Monday morning outdoor wedding ceremony. They chose to have a small group of family and friends attend at one of Michigan’s most iconic and well known ski resorts, Crystal Mountain, complete with a downhill ski run in their wedding attire!”
Leigh & Chris’ Extravagant All-White Winter Wedding
People often say the bride is a “vision in white,” but how often do you hear of an entire wedding being executed in dreamy white tones? From bridesmaids in white dresses to a stunning white floral wall, this wedding exuded elegance and extravagance with every detail.
The bride, Leigh, told us, “My inspiration was to have an all white winter wedding, with me not traditionally being the one in white, as I wanted something unique. Being in fashion, I wanted to push the envelope a little. Our music during our ceremony was non-traditional and our decor was essentially all floral. I wanted our closest family and friends to feel for just a moment like they were stepping into a serene dream, my dream.”
Kristin & Anthony’s Gold and White Winter Wedding
This wedding had the perfect mix of rustic chic and winter wonderland. Despite exchanging vows in The Sunshine State, this couple managed to bring their vision of an elegant Christmas wedding to life. The bride’s snowy lace dress especially fit the part.
The bride shared with us, “I wore a fitted two-toned (antique/ivory) lace and satin dress with sheer illusion netting, Swarovski crystals and a low, detailed back made by Allure Bridals. My bridesmaids wore floor length crimson red sequin dresses with spaghetti straps, ruches at the waist with a sweetheart neckline with a slight V-neck made by Sorella Vita.”
