Yuxiang & Vincent’s Monet’s Garden-Inspired Wedding at Swan House

Walking into Yuxiang and Vincent’s wedding was like walking into an impressionist painting brought to life. Hosted at Atlanta History Center’s iconic Swan House, their celebration was soft, romantic and brimming with delicate details — a wedding where art and love really intertwined.

The Ceremony

The couple’s ceremony took place outdoors on the grand, iconic staircase of Swan House — one of Atlanta’s most storied venues. Soft string music by Lark Chamber Music dressed the air as guests arrived, lending an old-world romance to the outdoor setting. Further setting the scene, a cascade of florals designed by Jim White Design tumbled down the iconic stairs, framing the couple in a garden vignette.

A Vision of Monet’s Garden

Yuxiang and Vincent’s wedding aesthetic was a love letter to Claude Monet’s dreamy impressionist landscapes. The couple was inspired by the soft, hazy beauty of Monet’s Garden, and crafted a palette of blush, lavender and romantic pastels to match. At their reception, long tables draped in blush and lavender linens stretched across the room, lined with lush arrangements of roses, orchids and hydrangeas in crystal vases. Acrylic chairs and glass accents caught the glow of candlelight, fully solidifying the magical atmosphere. From the delicate textures of the florals to the interplay of light and shadow, each detail evoked the serenity of Monet’s work.

Honoring their Roots

Yuxiang and Vincent first met at work, where their friendship quietly and naturally blossomed into something deeper over time. Both originally from China, the couple shares not only a strong work ethic but also an appreciation for their cultural heritage — and they made sure that spirit was woven into their wedding day.

One of the most meaningful moments was their traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Performed with reverence, it was a beautiful symbol of gratitude, respect and the blending of traditions with their new life together in the United States. Alongside their ceremony vows spoken in Chinese, it created a celebration that both culturally rich and visually stunning.

From the impressionist florals cascading down Swan House’s legendary stairs to the tradition of a tea ceremony, every moment told a story of a couple weaving beauty and culture into a masterpiece.
