Ringing in the New Year with Bella & Gage
What better way to ring in the new year than to marry your love?
Bella and Gage met in college at University of Tennessee Knoxville at a party. Gage was very persistent, asking Bella out out three times before one day, something changed, and she finally accepted the invitation. One thing led to another and, after graduation, the couple moved to Gage’s northern Georgia hometown together. On a ski trip to Breckinridge, CO, Gage surprised Bella with a proposal, and of course, she said yes.
In the ultimate celebration, Bella and Gage opted for a New Year’s Eve wedding. The couple wanted the Georgian Terrace Hotel‘s Grand Ballroom as their venue, but not just because of its elegant environment. Bella’s parents married at The Georgian Terrace Hotel, too. However, another couple already booked the venue for their desired New Year’s wedding date, so the couple didn’t think this would be possible. But in a stroke of serendipity, the couple received a call that the original booking had backed out. The venue was now theirs! They were thrilled to carry on this family tradition.
Due to the season, The Georgian Terrace Hotel was still decked out in holiday decor – evergreen garlands, twinkling trees and all! Bella and Gage wanted a traditional winter wedding, with white, gold and emerald green at center-stage. The venue’s striking architectural details, crystal chandeliers and soft color palette created a regal setting for the festivities.
Having met in college, sophisticated iterations of collegiate details were sprinkled throughout. One of these included a custom, monogrammed ice luge as the carrier for Tito’s Vodka. A cigar bar was a special touch, with spectacular views of Atlanta from the rooftop, any excuse to head outside for some fresh air and a cigar was taken! With a photo booth and live band to boot, the celebration was not lacking in activities for guests.
To end the evening in honor of the holiday, the guests all joined in for a grand New Year’s countdown, compete with themed hats and tiaras, champagne to toast, and multi-colored confetti cascading from above. Bella and Gage ended the night with a private last dance before the final send off. In one final collegiate detail, instead of a sparkler exit, the couple exited through a sea of orange and white University of Tennessee pompoms.
