Kristin & Anthony’s Gold & White Winter Wedding
Kristin & Anthony
December 16, 2017
Grant-Valkaria, FL
After a wintery proposal in North Carolina and almost two years of planning, Kristin and Anthony were married on a beautiful December day at Up The Creek Farms. They opted for a traditional wedding with boxed invitations, elegant décor and a touch of southern flair. With their date being just days before Christmas, the couple tried to avoid traditional Christmas colors and instead chose a neutral palette of gold and ivory. Kristin’s bridesmaids served as the only pop of color, with fitted crimson sequin dresses by Sorella Vita. The bride wore a breathtaking Allure Bridals gown with all-over lace, Swarovski crystals and a low back. Anthony and his groomsmen perfectly complemented the wedding party with dark gray suits and bold red ties.
The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. After enjoying cocktails and a mix of modern and classical music by Classern Quartet, guests were welcomed into a glimmering reception. Lush white floral arrangements, gold beaded-edge chargers and glowing candles sat atop a mix of wooden farm tables and white linens. Chandeliers and drapery hung from the ceiling, adding a touch of elegance to the rustic setting. Dinner selections were based on a “Southern Gentleman Bourbon” theme, with Chicken Florentine, beef tenderloin with a bourbon glaze and more. Keeping with the theme, a dessert table offered maple-bourbon mini cupcakes, pecan pralines and various cookies. Kristin and Anthony cut into a beautiful four-tier cake, which included a different flavor in each layer! The night ended with the newlyweds sharing a last dance alone before heading out to join their guests for a sparkler send-off.

“I wore a fitted two toned (antique/ivory) lace and satin dress with sheer illusion netting, Swarovski crystals and a low detailed back made by Allure Bridals. My bridesmaids wore floor length crimson red sequin dresses with spaghetti straps, ruches at the waist with a sweetheart neckline with a slight V-neck made by Sorella Vita.” -Kristin
“From the food that we served that people raved about, to the twinkling dance floor and the abundance of flowers each vendor was a piece of this special day being perfect, but if I had to choose just one vendor I couldn’t live without it would be our venue Up the Creek Farms. There’s no other wedding venue in Melbourne that even compares with Up the Creek Farms.” -Kristin
“My husband and I decided to follow an old southern tradition to bury a bottle of Kentucky bourbon at the wedding venue exactly one month prior to our wedding to ensure good weather on our wedding day.” -Kristin
“It’s so hard to choose the most memorable moment from our wedding day because theirs so many special moments that I will never forget, but the one that comes to mind is our last dance. All of our guests went outside to prepare for our sparkler send off. While our guests were getting ready with the sparklers Anthony and I had our last dance just the two of us without anyone in the room. It was really nice to have the last dance without all eyes on us and take in our wedding one last time before it ended.” -Kristin
