This love story began at a sports bar in Buckhead, where Kathryn and Connor first crossed paths. Their initial connection paved the way for a beautiful journey together – full of hiking with their dogs and traveling. St. Simons Island became a beloved destination for the couple, especially the King & Prince Resort, where they took their first trip together. The resort’s historic charm, diverse accommodations, and scenic surroundings made it an ideal choice for their wedding weekend.
The wedding day festivities began with the bride taking a private vintage car ride to the Avenue of the Oaks, a picturesque location on the island. Meanwhile, the groom and the wedding party arrived in style via the Lighthouse Trolley. The couple’s first look was captured against the backdrop of this scenic locale, making for a beautiful start to the day. Before setting off for the ceremony, the couple exchanged private vows and gifts in the wedding cottage to add a personal touch to their day ahead.
The King & Prince Resort’s oceanfront lawn provided a stunning setting for the ceremony. The couple’s choice of music, from the classic “Canon in D” to the timeless “Here Comes the Sun,” added a melodic touch to their special day. After the ceremony, guests took a stroll along the beachside to the Atlantic Court Lawn for a captivating cocktail hour, set against the backdrop of the ocean breeze.
The reception unfolded under a tent adorned with draped fabrics and twinkling lights, creating a magical atmosphere. Crystal champagne glasses, blue glass water goblets, and mixed-matched china plates dressed the head table, along with stunning florals by Southern Posh Weddings & Events.
The couple and guests danced the night away, thanks to incredible music by Unique Sound Band. The reception concluded with a bubble exit, leading guests to an after-party in the hotel’s Delegal Ballroom. As guests were fueled by late-night snacks, a DJ played tunes until the early morning hours.
