Jenn & David’s Glam Winter Wedding
Jenn & David
February 24, 2018
Jacksonville, FL
Jenn and David began planning their big day just six months after meeting, knowing they wanted to spend forever together. Jenn, being a wedding photographer, didn’t want to feel like she was getting married where she worked. So instead of choosing a local venue, the couple opted for David’s grandfather’s private property—a place that held many family events and was the location of their engagement.
The day was the perfect combination of glam and casual. David and his best man donned classic black tuxedos and bow ties and the maid of honor wore a beautiful rose gold sequin gown. Jenn wore a Hayley Paige gown with a beautiful beaded bodice, high neckline and billowy skirt. Her simply chic bouquet included anemones and gold accents. The couple shared a first look, exchanged gifts and took photos before the ceremony, where 85 guests would witness their vows.
An intimate outdoor reception followed the ceremony. Lush greenery filled the space—draped throughout the tent and across wooden farm tables. Guests received a small vase of delicate blooms as favors, which sat neatly next to white linen napkins and gold chargers. Dinner included sandwiches from Happy Grilled Cheese Food Truck and a soup and salad bar catered by Newks. Mini sweets filled the dessert table, surrounding a beautifully modern cake with lemon and champagne tiers. The newlyweds mingled with their guests and danced on a checkered dance floor to Birmingham, AL band OnLive, who played a variety of hits and kept the party going all night!

“My bouquet was a mix of greenery & blooms. There was eucalyptus, creams, blush pinks, deep wines, light lavenders, and anemones. My amazing florist also spray-painted some of the greenery to have gold accents. It was a dream bouquet and I literally bawled my eyes out when I saw it.” -Jenn
“Grandaddy’s property is a place we hold many family events. It’s where we got engaged, and it’s where we wanted to promise our forever.” -Jenn
“We couldn’t have done it without our designer/planner, Adair. There were so many behind the scenes things she did to make our day come to life, and probably things we will never even know she did. From pinning my MOH into her dress, to coordinating the whole structure of the day, helping us stay on track with time, & setting up literally all of our décor… she was absolutely essential. Plus, we obviously did not have a venue with a day of coordinator. Our day would not have been the same without her vision and without her coordination.” -Jenn
“We had a gourmet grilled cheese food truck! There were a variety of sandwich choices for our guests to choose from, as well as plain or jalapeño cheese fries! We also had a soup and salad bar that was catered by Newk’s. Our dessert display was from Alleycakes. We had a two-tier wedding cake—one layer was lemon and the other was champagne. We had a variety of smaller desserts such as cake pops, mini dessert shooters, and mini cupcakes! We also had signature drinks—David’s drink was Captain and Coke and mine was Blueberry Lemonade. It was made with homemade blueberry puree, lemonade, and vodka.” -Jenn
