I Can Hartley Wait: Caroline & Will Valentine’s Wedding at St. Regis Atlanta
With a last name of “Hartley,” Caroline and Will’s love story was destined for a Valentine’s Day celebration. On the weekend before the holiday, the couple transformed the St. Regis Atlanta into a dreamscape in shades of pink.
Caroline and Will met while studying abroad in Innsbruck, Austria the summer going into their junior year of college. Funnily enough, they both attended Auburn University but had never really crossed paths on campus. It took traveling halfway around the world for these two Auburn Tigers to finally find each other.
For Caroline, the wedding day magic began the night before. Surrounded by her 14 bridesmaids, the bride kicked off the celebration with an overnight slumber party. “We all had a big sleepover the night before the wedding at my parent’s house, then proceeded to wake up and spend the entire day of the wedding together,” Caroline recalled. The bridesmaids got ready together in coordinating heart pajamas, each wearing heart huggie earrings nodding to the day’s romantic theme. Once hair and makeup were complete, Caroline slipped into her show-stopping Sareh Nouri gown from Mandi Jackson Bridal – a beautiful ballgown with a short-sleeved, high-neck lace top.
The ceremony took place at the historic Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. Caroline and Will sweetly exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends before heading to their reception venue less than a mile away. “I have always loved the St. Regis, so it was an easy decision when picking a venue,” Caroline shared. “My parents live in the same house I grew up in just a mile from the St. Regis, so things felt really familiar and special.”
Edge Design Group transformed St. Regis Atlanta’s ballroom with breathtaking floral installations and cherry blossom motifs throughout. Dramatic overhead arrangements cascaded from the ballroom’s crystal chandeliers, while the centerpieces featured towering displays of soft pink and white blooms, surrounded by clusters of pillar candles that cast a warm, romantic glow across the room.
After an elegant and beautiful reception, Caroline and Will knew they didn’t want the celebration to end in the ballroom. After brainstorming after party ideas, their planner, Maren White of Toast Events, suggested dueling pianos. And with the Super Bowl taking place the next day, they took the dueling pianos basis and infused a football twist. Guests chose sides in a playful “Team Will” versus “Team Caroline” competition, complete with football helmet decor, foam fingers with illustrations of their dogs and custom baseball caps. The spirited atmosphere kept the party going well into the night, ensuring Caroline and Will’s Valentine’s Day wedding was absolutely throbbing with love.
