Greenery Wedding on the Jacksonville Riverfront
Kyle & Lauren’s wedding will always hold a special place in my heart and set the tone for my business for years to come. Kyle is in The United States Air Force and I am a military daughter and wife, so anytime I know a groom is wearing his dress blues I get all giddy inside. Lauren had her wedding day perfectly planned at The Florida Yacht Club in Jacksonville, Florida for October 8, 2016. She was ahead of the times with Pantone’s 2017 wedding color being greenery because her day was jaw dropping with the tropical leaves, large greens, and wait until you see her dessert table. Kyle & Lauren planned the wedding from California where he is stationed. Their engagement session in Laguna Beach was to die for and having a fall wedding in Florida was going to be the perfect beginning to their ever after. Mother nature had different plans for their union. Hurricane Matthew hit Florida on October 7, 2016 and the transformer at her venue was shot. While my family was evacuated to Tampa we planned a new wedding, with a different venue, and a different date overnight. Her wedding was stunning even with the changes we had to make and all of her fabulous vendors rose above the call of duty to all attend! It was a pleasure being a part of their day and certainly a test for every creative to re-plan in the midst of a natural disaster.
