All Fun and Games for Mary and Jonathan

Mary and Jonathan wanted a playful and fun atmosphere instead of the frenzy of a large wedding. At the Roof at Ponce City Market, carnival games and skyline views set the scene for a playful evening.

To those that know them, Mary and Jonathan are the perfect mix – “the ying to the other’s yang.” Mary is methodical and task-oriented – an accountant by trade. On the other hand, Jonathan is a performer and tends to be more free-spirited. They have created many inside jokes and fun memories over the six years they have been together. It was only natural they have a wedding that reflected this.

A large part of why the couple chose Ponce City Market as their venue was so that they could kick back and have fun playing the games at Skyline Park. No traditional wedding pomp and circumstance here! However, the forecast called for rain all day long. After a nail-biting morning, the rain ceased just before the wedding festivities began.

The decor took on a cool, modern vibe. Gold velvet linens adorned the tables as glimmering disco balls shone around. The floral arrangements were designed by Stylish Stems and featured marigolds, citrus blooms and greenery sprays. In order to avoid excess waste, Mary and Jonathan wanted their wedding to be eco-friendly. Guests took home the floral arrangements as favors, which was a wonderful way to accomplish this goal.
