Farheen & Karim’s 3-Day Wedding Celebration

Farheen and Karim’s wedding took place over a span of three days in Duluth, GA. Because why contain the celebrations to just one day?

Starting the festivities off was an intimate Mehndi ceremony at Farheen’s home. Henna by Rozisalim applied Henna, filling up Farheen’s hands and arms with unique designs and symbols of love. Song and dance followed as other women in the family got Henna done as well, and the celebration for a joyous weekend began. While Farheen and the women were at her house, the groom’s home also hosted a similar party, where Karim also got some Henna art. Eventually, the two parties joined, as the groom’s family came over to the bride’s home for more celebrations. It is not typical for the groom to come to the bride’s home for the Mehndi, but Karim surprised Farheen by showing up with his family and friends.

The second day of celebrations came with an Indian wedding tradition called the Sangeet Night. This night at Opal Event Hall was a celebration of Farheen and Karim’s love – through dancing and music! Events InStyle by Beenish transformed the space into a dazzling and glamorous ballroom fit for royalty. Months of preparation went into this night, with choreographed dance performances, speeches and more. Once the choreographed dances were complete, the party continued as Dj Irfan opened the dance floor to all.

The final day of wedding celebrations came with the civil ceremony at 1818 Club. The couple’s nephew officiated the ceremony, sharing an emotional and thoughtful speech – leaving many in joyful tears. The same evening, Farheen and Karim took part in their religious ceremony at The Atlanta NE Ismaili Center and Jamatkhana followed by a dinner at the groom’s home for close family and friends. What better way to celebrate a long, beautiful weekend than being surrounded by loved ones in your own home?
