Elizabeth and Andrew’s Rainy Botanical Wedding
Surrounded by flowers and loved ones, Elizabeth and Andrew celebrated their cultural fusion wedding on a rainy April day.
Elizabeth and Andrew’s story began on their first day of medical school. After nine years, two cities, two dogs, countless hours studying, trips taken, movie nights and compromises later, they were excited to share their special day.
Despite the persistent rain all day, the couple’s vision remained intact, thanks to the dedication of their vendors. Laurens Floral Arts transitioned the outdoor decor indoors, creating an ambiance that defied the stormy skies. Meanwhile, Grapefruit Photo skillfully captured every moment and utilized the Orchid Center for pre-ceremony photos during the downpour. From the pictures, you’d never be able to tell that these outcomes were Plan B!
The doors behind the officiant were opened for the ceremony, inviting in the gentle breeze and a rain soundtrack. The soothing pitter-patter of rain added an unexpected, yet magical touch to their ceremony. Miraculously, the clouds parted after the vows, allowing the newlyweds to have some alone-time together on the grounds and to capture the garden wedding portraits they had dreamed of.
Guests were treated to culinary perfection curated by Bold Catering, with stations offering delectable delights like Snapper Ceviche, Wild Mushroom and Parmesan Risotto.
After cocktail hour and dinner, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony took place to honor Andrew’s Chinese heritage. Then, more sounds of celebration filled the air, courtesy of the Emerald Empire Band, and everyone danced the night away.
As the festivities drew to a close, Elizabeth and Andrew bid farewell to their loved ones, surrounded by a shower of bubbles—a fitting send-off for a magical day.
