Design-Forward Southern Romance: Savanna & Ryan at the Venue at Daisy Hill
Savanna and Ryan’s wedding at Venue at Daisy Hill was the picture of Southern charm with a modern twist. Fresh white florals, bold black accents and design-forward details all lended themselves to a timeless yet contemporary feel.
Savanna and Ryan met at their workplace in February 2021, where Ryan was already working when Savanna joined the team. What started as a quick friendship turned into something more. By May 2023, Ryan was ready to take their story to the next chapter. He planned a heartfelt proposal in Piedmont Park, complete with a surprise celebratory dinner with their families afterward. For a couple who love nothing more than discovering new restaurants and coffee shops together, it was the perfect way to begin their engagement.
Just twenty miles from Atlanta, Venue at Daisy Hill offered everything Savanna and Ryan envisioned for their wedding. Nestled on seventeen acres, the outdoor ceremony space surrounded by pine trees created a naturally romantic setting. The patio provided a welcoming spot for cocktail hour, while the reception unfolded inside a light-filled space with soaring ceilings, huge windows and exposed wooden beams.
One of the standout elements of their day was a custom wedding monogram by Dot Hall Designs. It became the visual thread that tied their celebration together, appearing everywhere from their invitation suite and signage to their wedding album, cocktail napkins and more. This detail gave the celebration a polished, cohesive feel that reflected the couple’s style.
Throughout the day, Savanna and Ryan found unique ways to make their guests feel included. Each guest received their seating assignment on a bud vase, which then become part of the décor on each table. Champagne and individual charcuterie cups awaited everyone at the reception — a creative twist that elevated the usual cocktail fare. When it came to dessert, the couple skipped tradition and leaned into fun. Instead of a cake, they had a donut bar and ice cream sundae station. Guests moved between the dance floor and dessert stations, creating their own sweet treats before returning to the fun.
For Savanna and Ryan, the day was never about grand gestures—it was about savoring each moment together. In fact, leading up to their big day, they were most looking forward to soaking in the day together. Achieving their goal to not leave each other’s side throughout the evening, Savanna and Ryan’s wedding truly was the day they’d been waiting for for so long.
