Colorful & Geometric Outdoor Wedding at The Inn at Serenbe in Palmetto, GA
On their wedding day, the Georgia summer sun seem to shine down just for Ashley and Josh. Months and months before, they had fallen in love with the heavenly Northern Georgia oasis that is The Inn at Serenbe and decided to plan a weekend getaway for their nuptials. With the masterful help of Ashley Baber Weddings, the ceremony took place on the grounds in front of a pine tree backdrop under a stunning floral chuppah surrounded by 230 of Ashley and Josh’s closest friends and family. A procession of ten bridesmaids in mismatched neutrals and groomsmen in navy from Generation Tux as well as a little ring bearer who wouldn’t take his hand out of his pocket (too worried about losing the rings!) preceded the bride down the aisle. Not an eye in the group was dry as Ashley shone in a fitted gown with a plunging lace neckline. The scenery was so stunning that only minimal florals were necessary to enhance the surroundings, so Ashley carried blush roses and peonies arranged by k&co. design. Every stage of the weekend took place on a different part of the grounds, so guests took golf carts to the open air reception. To a soundtrack of the musically inclined couple’s favorites, the guests dined on an elegant and elevated menu that paid homage to the couple’s Southern roots. Dennis Dean created a meal of meridional delights – braised beef short ribs, maple glazed salmon, even heirloom tomato pie! Later in the evening, the newlyweds took a private moment to cut a traditional cake while the wedding guests helped themselves to an assortment of mouthwatering pies. Ashley and Josh’s wedding was part rustic, part Southern charm, and all sophistication. Atlanta wedding photographer Genya O’Neall of Vue Photography captured the glowing bride and groom on their day, while Timepiece Media created a reel for the newlyweds to enjoy for years to come.
