Chelsea & Jacob’s Colorful Storybook Wedding at The Factory at Walton Mill
Chelsea and Jacob’s wedding felt like them — joyful, whimsical and centered around the people they love most. This wedding wasn’t just about tying the knot; it was about throwing the kind of party where everyone felt seen, celebrated and completely at ease.
Their story began the way so many modern romances do: on Hinge. After a night out, Chelsea downloaded the app and couldn’t resist sparking a debate with her first match, Jacob. “How could you EVER think that Johnny Depp is a better Willy Wonka than Gene Wilder?!” she teased. Despite the “critical” difference of opinion, the two hit it off. From comedy shows and Braves games to Great British Bake Off marathons and a trip to Asheville, Chelsea soon realized this was something lasting. When Jacob made it official with a proposal at the Biltmore, she didn’t just say yes — she said “heck yeah!”
A quick Google search for “wedding venues that aren’t barns” led Chelsea and Jacob to The Factory at Walton Mill. The moment they stepped inside, they knew it was the one. The venue offered great aesthetic vibes, but its all-inclusive offerings and trusted vendor partners sealed the deal. “It was so easy to work with any outside vendors, but the vendors that The Factory provided and recommended were truly top-notch,” the couple shared. “Every detail in the planning was so thoughtful and intentional. The floral design alone was enough of a reason to book this venue!”
The design of the day radiated cheer, with vibrant florals, playful details and nods to the couple’s love of storytelling. One of the most memorable touches was their seating chart—a bookshelf lined with colorfully wrapped books, each with a guest’s name and seating assignment on the spine. This clever display echoed their save-the-dates, which featured customized bookmarks inviting guests to “bookmark our date.”
For Chelsea and Jacob, they wanted their celebration to be filled with laughter, to honor the loved ones who shaped their lives and to savor every fleeting moment together. By the time the night came to a close, their vision had come true: a wedding brimming with love, stories and the kind of joy that lingers.
