Barnsley Resort-Styled Wedding with Pollyanna Richter Weddings
We are excited to share this beautiful styled shoot that was captured at Barnsley Resort. The ruins at Barnsley Resort is the perfect backdrop for any wedding because of the textures of the old bricks to the gorgeous estate garden. This shoot was a collaborative effort of amazing talent as you will see in the images below. Every detail was thought out from using vintage jewelry, an amazing dress, a trendy blue suit for the groom, gorgeous exotic flowers and stunning photography. The cake was framed in an open window of the ruins as well as a reception table centered in one of the large ruin rooms by broken brick with moss. The images of the bride and groom amongst the grand garden with the ruins in the background is nothing short of fairytale. If you are not familiar with Barnsley Resort then you must take a visit because it is the perfect setting for any wedding looking for a WOW factor.
To start our day we watched the weather forecast like a hawk. They were predicting 80% chance of rain all day, but later in the evening. Our fearless wedding planner leader wanted to go for it, since we all worked so hard in the pre-planning. Now that it was the day off, no one wanted to cancel. So to make the most of our time, Barnsley Resort let us arrive earlier than scheduled to get all set up. All the vendors arrived early to set up the table setting. The last vendors to arrive were the photographers (us) and the jeweler. While we photographed the gorgeous set up of table, centerpieces, and details, the sky got darker and darker. We photographed the cake and flowers and dresses in a variety of scenes since everywhere you look at Barnsley Resort is a phenomenal backdrop. We finished up with the details just as our models came out from the cottage primped and ready to go. Our first time models hit it off right away, they were gorgeous, and so easy to work with. Our jeweler accessorized the bride perfectly, and we raced against the clock to photograph as much as we could before the rains came. We went all around the grounds of the ruins, careful not to venture too far from the reception tent with our expensive photography equipment. A few hours later, it never rained and we finished the session! After we walked to our cars and packed up, torrential downpours began.
We cannot thank everyone involved enough for embracing the weather for an outstanding styled wedding. We hope to work with all these vendors in a real-wedding setting, because everyone put their best foot forward.
