“A Life of Luster:” Brooke & Lucus’ Love to Dream Wedding
After 10 years together, Brooke and Lucus exchanged vows at Love To Dream in Buford, bringing their enduring love story to life in monochromatic elegance.
Brooke and Lucus met at the University of Georgia, where Brooke worked as a Community Advisor in Creswell Hall. Though Lucus was her resident, she maintained professional boundaries—at least initially. About a year after he moved out, a mutual friend suggested they try dating. Brooke hesitated but agreed to a group date. By the end of a meal full of charm and humor, she knew there was something worth exploring.
The couple’s styling was paramount, and both wore custom ensembles from indie designers. Entrusting her bridal vision to emerging designer Rikki Raiford of IHRIE, Brooke became the first bride to commission a custom gown from the label. Raiford delivered a stunning satin corset gown adorned with delicate lace and topped with a single-tier mantilla veil. Completing the ensemble was her older sister Brittneé, owner of Beauty by Beé, whose artistry in hair and makeup added the perfect finishing touch. Lucus matched Brooke’s sophistication in a custom white double-breasted tuxedo with an oversized statement bowtie from Sidohr Custom Clothiers.
For their ceremony and reception, the couple created an intimate celebration centered around their “A Life of Luster” theme, a playful nod to their surname. After a decade of partnership, they celebrated not just a marriage, but a legacy built on love, intention and impeccable style.
