Venue Selection
Lighting is everything for photography; clients should keep that in mind when selecting their venue(s), which they have booked by the time they meet with photographers. It is important to think about the aesthetics of the wedding venue and then imagine the photos that will be taken there. If there is no natural light at the venue, then clients need to understand what flash photography is and that it will be necessary to use flash or some form of artificial lighting to capture the event properly.
Getting Ready Location
With venue selection in mind, I hope clients consider the “getting ready” room at the venue for both partners. The photographer will capture getting ready photos at the beginning of the day, setting off the celebrations ahead. The main thing for clients to consider is that they will need a clean, open area for their getting-ready photos. For a soft and clean aesthetic, they’ll want lots of natural lighting.
Book the Engagement Session
I want all couples to know how important it is to have an engagement session with their photographer before their wedding day. Wedding days can be hectic and go by so fast, but engagement sessions are easy, laid-back, fun and, of course, the perfect way to connect and get to know each other better. In addition, engagement sessions are the best way to get more familiar and comfortable with being in front of the camera. As your photographer, we will guide you and direct you on how to look your best. When it comes time for your wedding day, you’ll remember all the tips and tricks learned at your engagement session and you’ll be set up to rock your wedding day photos.
Dream Team
Enjoy your wedding day and all the little moments by hiring a full planning service to handle all the details and logistics on your wedding day. Understand what everyone’s role is, but ultimately, let the pros do what they do best.
Printing
Lastly, print your photos! You’ve spent so much time planning for this beautiful day; you’ve hired the best professionals to make it unforgettable. Now, really make the day last forever by printing your wedding photos and having them displayed around your home for all to see!
