See the colors as they come into view
Bursting with life of every hue
Filling the earth’s barren canvas spreading wide
Individual wildflowers growing to abide
Each one different and beautifully displayed
The diversity of expression not hidden in shade
With delicate petals that flutter in the wind
A wild and gentle contradiction that goes without end
Morning dew glistens like diamonds on graceful leaves Reflecting the sun’s light as the shimmer deceives
Little Red Flower laying on the ground
Fragile and downtrodden waiting to be found
Little Yellow Flower blooming very tall
It wasn’t that long ago you were scared and small
Little Blue Flower swaying in the wind
One leaf broken, your sadness will soon end
Little Green Flower, petals a little frayed
Kicked and stepped on, but your beauty still displayed
The Wildflowers are not broken, they were made to bend
Turned their petals toward the sun, to heal without end
The Wildflowers are strong, they are made to adapt
To grow and thrive, never to be entrapped
Love is beautiful and a powerful force
Love will find you all in due course
In order to be loved, you must love yourself first
Have faith in your abilities, keep quenching the thirst
Wildflowers of red, yellow, green and blue
Be patient and let the right love find you
Little Red Flower look up to find
Someone is there and they are kind
Plucked with purpose to stand through time
Happiness has found you, you will live sublime
Little Yellow Flower still standing tall
Life hasn’t always been good but you survived it all
A new life awaits you, alone you will never be
Standing tall together, for all eternity
Little Blue Flower, sad from a broken leaf
The scar it leaves will always remind you of the grief
The break is not who you are, but will help you to be
The wildflower worthy of love, your heart set free
Little Green Flower with your petals frayed
Worried about your beauty, don’t be afraid
Each wildflower is beautiful in its unique way
It’s the beauty of your soul, that will find love to stay.
