Garden Wedding at Callanwolde Fine Art Center in Atlanta
Zach and Lindsey chose to have a garden ceremony held at the historic Callanwolde Fine Arts Center–a 12 acre non-profit Tudor estate built in 1917–because their love for the arts and the mission of Callanwolde. It was a hot, summer day. But what dripped more than our sweat that day was the emotion from both families of the bride and groom. Lindsey’s dad surprised her by having his original wedding band (that he wore for 25 years) made into a right hand ring for her. He gave it to her in the getting ready room and somehow through my own tears I managed to catch their lifelong “handshake” just after their embrace. The groom also inherited and wore his deceased grandfather’s wedding band. Those are just two of the many, many sentimental stories we could tell you from this day.
